Nikolas Anastasopoulos, as a member of the Athens Bar Association, practices actively law with skillful courtroom advocacy and legal counseling providing effective legal advice in the fields of civil, commercial/corporate, public and penal law. He is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Sorbonne (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) and holds master’s degrees of the Athens Law School and the Bordeaux Law School (Bordeaux IV – Montesquieu), while he is a certified information privacy professional for European law (IAPP CIPP/E) since 2018

His commitment in advocacy is the determining factor that allows him to practice counseling successfully, providing to each client the possibility of constructive legal protection by design.

Assessing his expertise and effectiveness, the largest Greek private provider of primary and secondary health services, as well as various public entities and agencies (local authorities, etc.), and other private companies in the tourism, construction and health sectors, have entrusted Nikolas Anastasopoulos with the performance of the duties of Data Protection Officer (DPO) and their general compliance with the new regulatory framework of General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (GDPR).

He has served as Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of Digital Governance on the implementation of GDPR and on the incorporation of the NIS Directive   2016/1148/EU on Cyber security into national law (today L. 4577/2018), as national expert of the Ministry of Health on health data protection and as the first chronologically executive Data Protection Officer (DPO) of “eGovernment for Social Security S.A.” (IDIKA S.A.) and the “Athens Chamber of Tradesmen” (EEA) for two years (2018-2020).

Furthermore, it has assisted in consulting on multiple European programs, including but not limited to the “Business Process Re-engineering for GDPR” (BPR4GDPR) project in the framework of the European HORIZON2020 program representing “IDIKA S.A.”, as well as in research projects under the FP7 framework, Corallia/Si-cluster,  Helios,  LOBOS and CHARMe in the fields of geoinformatics and aerospace technology as a non-executive board member of “TERRA  SPATIUM  S.A.» of  the “ATESE” Group  (2014-2018).

At the same time, Nikolas Anastasopoulos has many years of expertise in the fields of      e-Commerce and new technologies, having undertaken the legal support of many start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises since their establishment, covering in a unified way legal issues related to a wide range of disciplines of law. This allows any business and professional, regardless of size, to find in his person a comprehensive solution to a variety of legal issues, without omitting the interpersonal relationship with him.
