Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)

In May 2018 the new General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data, also known as GDPR, entered into force. The new strict rules, with uniform application throughout Europe, pose new challenges for every company, regardless of size, while non-compliance with the new regulatory framework entails particularly high administrative fines (up to EUR 20 million or 4% of annual worldwide turnover, whatever is higher).

Contrary to the prevailing unprofessional perceptions that unfortunately have prevailed, compliance is an ongoing process and needs continuous improvement, following a specific methodology and a combination of expertise and deep knowledge of privacy and data protection law.

With many years of experience in the exercise of the duties of Data Protection Officer / DPO in private and public entities and having carried out important compliance projects in the fields of health, tourism, sports, publishing and eCommerce, the Law Firm ALFALEGAL has all the necessary resources and appropriate partners for the successful compliance of every business and organization and for their support as DPO.
